Are you passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences? Chartwells Higher Education is searching for a dynamic and dedicated Director of Dining Services for Western Washington University in beautiful Bellingham, WA . In this key leadership role, you will direct the day-to-day operations and financial success of a high volume residential dining program on campus.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day food service operations for residential dining, ensuring top-notch quality and service.
Team Leadership: Supervise and inspire supervisors and food service workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Client and Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high standards for food quality and customer service, exceeding client and customer expectations.
Staff Development: Lead the hiring, training, and development of frontline staff, building a skilled and motivated team.
Financial Management: Complete all daily, weekly, and financial reports, ensuring the financial success of the dining program.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all QA and sanitation standards are met, adhering to Health Department regulations and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Educational Background: B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred
Experience: 5-7 years of direct foodservice operational management experience with a strong understanding of inventory and purchasing control.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Leadership Skills: Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management, clients, customers, and associates.
Financial Acumen: Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable
Technical Skills: Proficient in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office, email, and the Internet.
Certification: ServSafe® Certified.
