Description Looking to make a difference in an innovative and dynamic inclusive charter school network? UCP Charter Schools are a network of 8 PreK-12th grade schools for students with and without disabilities in Central Florida.
UCPs instructional approach is designed to reach every learner through customized instruction, technology integration, art integration, and project-based learning. Each UCP campus has a unique community feel, with low student/instructor ratios and inclusive classrooms where children with and without disabilities learn and grow together.
Responsibilities - Provide direct individualized and small group reading intervention for assigned PreK - 12th Grade students.
- Assess students using a variety of measures to determine appropriate placement and specific instructional needs.
- Ensures Integrity and fidelity of the instructional practice is monitored; coaches and provides feedback that informs action toward implementation of researched based instructional reading strategies via collaborative instructional planning.
- Provide support to teachers and provide strategies to improve instruction that will support literacy growth including providing Model demonstration lessons, facilitating co-teaching, and engaging in curriculum development focused on standards-based instruction.
- Keep abreast of best practices/developments in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and provide leadership in determining their appropriateness (and implementing if appropriate) for inclusion in UCP's educational program.
- Work collaboratively with campus to support intervention programs.
- Collaborate with the campus principal/instructional coach/Interventionist on the use of assessment data to plan; analyze student/school data and plan for future literacy needs.
- Collaborate with Curriculum & Instruction Department on school data to plan; analyze student/school data and plan for future literacy needs.
- Attend required trainings/conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education and Training: ( or equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree Preferred - Elementary or Exceptional Education.
- Florida Teacher Certification - Elementary Education or PreK-3rd Grade.
- ESE/Reading endorsed.
Minimum Experience: - Minimum of 5 Years' classroom teacher experience in exceptional student education
- Leadership experience in a school setting.
- Demonstrated success working with people, in establishing goals, objectives and action plans to produce expected ends/results.
- Strong knowledge in MTSS process
- Strong knowledge and successful implementation of the Science of Reading
